Android hasn’t really had a true visual user interface in a long time, not since 2014 in fact. A great look could be freshening things up with some new design could make the next Android a lot more exciting.

2. iOS like widgets in Android 12

iOS 14, Apple added a lot of features that have long been found on Android phones, including widgets, but it included one very handy feature that we would love to see in Android 12.

We are talking about the Smart Stack feature, which allows you to create a stack of widgets on your home screen, or just let the OS choose which to show you based on usability of phone.

7. Native Theme Feature

A native theming system that would allow users to select one primary and one accent colour that will be reflected throughout the system, including the notifications and quick settings. What makes this feature special is that third-party apps would also have access to the chosen colours, making it possible to have a uniform theme across both third-party apps and system elements.

8. Improved privacy features

The new Privacy settings contains toggles to disable the camera and mute the microphone entirely, in addition to toggling location access. You can disable all sensors on your smartphones by using the “sensors off” Quick Setting toggle, Google may make these sensor toggles accessible by putting them in the privacy settings.

Things Google should improve with Android 12

There are plenty of fields that should be fixed with Android 12, such as strict laws on OEMs bending the stock android to access the data and privacy friendly to users. some of the things are mentioned below

1. Support to old devices

The biggest problem with Android is that new versions don’t always make it to old phones. we know that any device is going to be supported forever, many only get two years of updates, and some get even only one.

So with newer android we want devices to be supported for longer, as we are mostly waiting months for the new version of Android on many phones.

2. Provide All features on all phones

Not only do not all phones get the new version of Android, but budget devices don’t get all the features.

Google mostly keeps some features exclusive to the Pixel series. An example of this from Android 11 is app recommendations in place of the standard app drawer.

One major example is, G Cam (Google camera) is available on Pixel smartphones only.

3. Strict laws for OEMs

There should be strict laws on OEMs bending the stock android, most of the Android using companies push ads in their smartphones to earn revenue and most of the time ads are vulgar.

OEMs also bend stock android to make users to accept their End User License Agreement, in which many of permissions are taken which makes almost no sense to accept.

This is also vulnerable to users privacy that should be fixed.

Above expected upcoming features are not confirmed by Google, these features are based on rumours and screenshots posted by XDA Developers. so all these features are to be taken with pinch of salt. We will update the post as we receive more information on Android 12.
